Basic Operation
This chapter covers battery installation, base installation, battery charging, function button operations, indicator lights, data transfer, and basic usage specifications for the Lixel K1.
Battery Installation
- Press the battery buckle.
- Insert the battery into the base of the device and make sure it is fully seated.
- Release the buckle and confirm the battery is locked.
Note
Failure to lock the battery may cause the device to slip.

Base Installation
There is a threaded hole at the bottom of the battery handle. Snap the device into the base, tighten the bottom screw, and place the device on a flat surface.

Battery Charging
Use the supplied charging cable to connect the charging adapter to the battery to start charging.

Full charge time: about 2 hours. During charging, the indicator light shows the current battery level. See the table below for details.

Function Button Operations
| Function | Button operation | Device status |
|---|---|---|
| Power On | Press and hold for 4s | The indicator changes from slow-flashing blue to solid green, and the device enters standby mode. |
| Power Off | Press and hold for 4s | When the device is in standby mode, press and hold for 4s. The indicator changes from solid green to flashing white while the system saves data, and power-off is complete when the indicator turns off. |
| Start Scanning | Double-click | When the device is in standby mode, double-click the button. The indicator changes from solid green to fast-flashing green, then slow-flashing green, and the LiDAR starts rotating, indicating scanning has started successfully and the device is in scanning mode. |
| Stop Scanning | Double-click | When the device is in scanning mode, double-click the button. The indicator changes from slow-flashing green to fast-flashing green, then solid green, and the LiDAR stops rotating, indicating scanning has stopped successfully and the device is in standby mode. |
| Control Point Collection | Single-click | When the device is in scanning mode, single-click the button. The indicator stays solid for about 1s and then returns to slow-flashing green, indicating the control point was recorded successfully. |
| Switch to USB mode | Single-click + white LED + single-click | When the device is in standby mode, single-click the button; the indicator turns white for up to 3s. Data Transfer
Use the supplied USB 3.1 cable to connect the device to a computer while it is in standby, then switch to USB mode via LixelGO or the shortcut key. Once the device is recognized, you can copy the data.
Note:
- USB mode turns off automatically after a restart.
- After USB mode is enabled, if you want to continue scanning, you must turn off USB mode manually or restart the device.
Using another USB cable may slow down data transfer, or cause a situation where copying works when the connector is inserted one way but not when reversed.
Basic Usage Specifications
- The Lixel K1 is a precision surveying and mapping device. Drops or external impacts may damage the device, causing malfunction or inaccurate results, or even complete damage.
- Make sure the base and the device's clip-in battery are tightened together to prevent the device from falling.
- The Lixel K1 scanning device has an IP54 rating. Pay attention to the environment when using it, and do not use it in environments beyond this rating. Use a soft dry cloth or the provided cleaning cloth to clean the device; keep the LiDAR and lens clean and do not touch them directly with your hands.
- Do not cover the heat dissipation area or touch it with your body during use. If the device gets too hot during use, it may shut down automatically.
